TEXAS LEGENDS ANNOUNCE UNIQUE JERSEY NIGHT PARTNERSHIP WITH FCA

LEGENDS TO WEAR “FELLOWSHIP OF CHRISTIAN ATHLETES” JERSEYS ON SATURDAY, NOV 23

Fellowship of Christian Athletes is an organization that works to reach athletes of all ages--youth to professional--with a message of hope. The Texas Legends, presented by Veracruz (visit Veracruz.mx), have partnered with FCA to raise awareness for the organization and celebrate the members who live this message.

Rick Faling served as the President of HCFS for eight years before he was diagnosed with primary sclerosing cholangitis. Since his diagnosis, HCFS employees have worked to raise support and awareness, partnering with PSC Partners for a Cure.

“This is an opportunity to celebrate our impact on DFW campuses outside the walls of their schools,” commented Greater DFW FCA Executive Director Rick Bowles “This night will not only provide an opportunity to share our purpose with Legends' fans but also students, coaches, parents and our supporters to have a fun night with the Legends. For more information visit www.dfwfca.org”

The Legends will wear customized jerseys, uniquely branded with both the Legends and FCA logos. Select jerseys will be available via a silent auction during the game, with all proceeds going back to FCA. As part of the festivities of the night, select individuals from FCA will be recognized as “Legends of the Night.”

The Legends face the Fort Wayne Mad Ants at 7 pm on November 23. The game will be the second of a double-header for the two teams as they open the season at Dr Pepper Arena. The Legends will be led by three familiar faces from last season—Chris Douglas-Roberts, Melvin Ely and Sean Singletary—along with second-year head coach Eduardo Najera.

All Legends home games are broadcast live on KTXD47. For more information on the team or the full season schedule visit www.TexLegends.com.

Texas is coached by second-year head coach Eduardo Najera and Fort Wayne will be led by former Los Angeles D-Fenders assistant and first year head coach Conner Henry.
