Legends Partner with KVCE 1160 AM

The Texas Legends and KVCE 1160 AM have partnered up to bring the Legends another step closer to their fans. KVCE will broadcast every Legends home game in the 2012-13 season, as well as feature Legends guests in shows throughout the season.

The relationship kicked off to a fast start Tuesday night when KVCE’s Robin Valetutto hosted Legends assistant general manager and former Legends head coach Nancy Lieberman for an hour show.

“KVCE is nothing short of an outstanding, professional station,” Lieberman said. “It was an honor to be a part of the beginning of this partnership and a pleasure to join Robin on air.”

KVCE will not only broadcast the Legends’ 24 home games, but the station will also complement the games with both pre- and post-game shows.

“One of many attractions for us to this partnership is the organization’s sincere drive to positively impact communities and cater toward families,” said Valetutto, also known as the DFW Sports Angel as KVCE’s Sports Director. “We look forward to working together to bring an exciting, passionate game broadcast along with weekly highlights and promotions of the team to our listening fan base.”

The Legends players, coaches and front office staffers will make frequent appearances on Valetutto’s sports show, which will move to a Saturday afternoon time slot by the end of the month, as well as on various other KVCE programming.

“Salem Communications Dallas, particularly station KVCE 1160 AM, is very excited about our new broadcast partnership with the outstanding Texas Legends organization,” said John Peroyea, Regional Vice President of Salem. “We look forward to their continued growth and performance and to exposing them to the many listeners that tune-in to our station.”

The Legends open their season at Dr Pepper Arena at 7 p.m. on Nov. 28.
