Legends Announce Philanthropy Night, Presented by Tour De Profit
FRISCO, TX (Mar. 5, 2014) —The Texas Legends, presented by Veracruz (visit Veracruz.mx), was founded on the principles that parallel many non-profits—improving as many lives as possible in as many ways as possible. The Legends’ upcoming “Philanthropy Night” recognizes local businesses built on those same principles.
“This night is all about celebrating the local businesses who generously support the charities and non-profit organizations in our communities,” said Rich Allen, founder of Tour de Profit. “It is because of their strong sense of community and desire to ‘give back’ that those in need enjoy the benefits of their business success.”
The Legends will wear customized jerseys themed by Tour de Profit, uniquely branded with both the Tour de Profit and Texas Legends logos. Select jerseys will be available through a silent auction during the game, with all proceeds going to ManeGait Therapeutic Horsemanship Center. As part of the festivities of the night, local businesses participating in the evening will be recognized at halftime for their dedication to bettering our community.
The Legends face the Bakersfield Jam at 7 pm on March 6th. The two teams will meet for the third time this season after a back-to-back in Bakersfield where the Jam swept the Legends. The Legends are currently on a two-game win streak after sweeping the Los Angeles D-Fenders at home. Bakersfield stands at 13-22, in last place of the Western Division, while the Legends are 17-22 and fighting for playoff contention.
The game will be broadcast live on both television—KTXD 47—and radio—KVCE 1160am.
