Williams leads Skyforce to win over Armor

SIOUX FALLS, S.D., Dec. 26 The Sioux Falls Skyforce defeated the Springfield Armor 105-93 on Saturday night in a game pitting the two leading scorers in the NBA Development League against each other. Skyforce forward Reggie Williams scored a game-high 31 points while Armor guard Morris Almond posted a team-high 24 points in defeat.

Williams had a strong first half as he scored 15 points to help the Skyforce lead 49-47 at halftime. Despite trailing by eight points after three quarters the Armor would not go away as they cut the lead to 79-75 early in the final quarter. Sioux Falls outscored Springfield 20-10 over the next five and a half minutes to hold off the struggling Armor and improve to 5-1 at home.

Williams scored 31 points on 13-of-18 shooting from the field in his first game back after missing four straight games due to injury. David Bailey (17 points, 10 assists) and Greg Stiemsma (10 points, 14 rebounds) both recorded double-doubles and Keith Brumbaugh added 13 points.

Former NBA player Morris Almond scored 24 points behind 13-of-15 free throws. JamesOn Curry tallied 15 points and seven assists and Marcus Campbell recorded a double-double (10 points, 11 rebounds) in only his third game since joining the team.

The same two teams will tangle tomorrow at 5 p.m. CT in the game rescheduled from Christmas Night due to inclement weather.
