Join the Springfield Armor on Thursday, June 28th for the team's annual NBA Draft Watch Party! This year's party will be held at Mama Iguana's (Hall of Fame Plaza, 1150 West Columbus Ave. in Springfield) and will feature free appetizers, door prizes, an appearance by the Armor's mascot, Steal, and much more!
The Armor's draft party is open to the public, FREE to attend and children of all ages are welcome, so make sure to plan a great night for the family with the defending Eastern Division champion Armor!
The Armor's NBA affiliate, the Brooklyn Nets, currently hold the 57th overall selection in the second round of the 2012 NBA Draft. The Nets' second round pick last year, Jordan Williams, was assigned to Springfield for six games last season, averaging 10.5 points and 7.8 rebounds in 32.0 minutes per game. After Williams returned to the Nets following his stint with the Armor, he wound up being selected as the team's 'Most Improved Player' for the 2011-12 season.
