The Springfield Armor were thrilled to take part in the celebrations for the 375th anniversary of Springfield this past weekend. Members of the Armor front office staff, led by mascot, Steal, marched in the parade, took part in the annual pancake breakfast, and met some terrific people from Springfield and the surrounding communities.
With thousands of people flocking to downtown Springfield to enjoy the festivities, Steal had a particularly good time interacting with those in attendance. Steal had a chance to meet a variety of local community groups, march through the streets of Springfield with scores of other people, and even rub elbows with Mayor Domenic Sarno.
With the Armorís 2011-12 season still nearly 6 months away, Steal has more free time than he knows what to do with! Steal has been known to not only appear at every Armor home game, but he also travels extensively throughout the Pioneer Valley to all sorts of community events.
The Armor certainly like to see Steal out and about enjoying the summer weather, so if you think there might be an event in the area that could be a great fit for Steal, donít hesitate to contact the Armor office at (413) 746-3263 or download and fill out an appearance request form from the ĎCommunityí tab on the Armorís homepage to send in to the Armor. Stealís colleagues will be standing by to field your request, as Steal will look to continue to participate in as many community and charitable events as he can.
Donít miss out on this tremendous opportunity to have Steal out to energize your event in the Greater Springfield community!
