The Armor have also received former Nets’ forward, Terrence Williams, in an assignment this season (Nov. 26th-Dec. 7th) and Philadelphia 76ers’ forward, Craig Brackins, two times this season (Nov. 30th-Dec. 12th, Jan. 15th-Feb. 7th).
In one season, the Armor have gone from having no NBA assignments in the team’s inaugural season, to being tied with the Erie BayHawks for the most NBA assignments amongst D-League teams this season (3 players, 4 assignments).
Uzoh, who was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Nets following the 2010 NBA Draft, has played in 32 games off the bench for New Jersey this season, averaging 3.4 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 9.1 minutes per game. Uzoh has scored in double figures twice this season, including a season-high 18-point performance in just 22 minutes in a Feb. 26th loss to the Houston Rockets.
Uzoh played collegiately at the University of Tulsa, where he was a three-time first team all-Conference USA performer.
“We enjoyed having Ben with us for the past 4 games,” Armor head coach Dee Brown said. “Ben worked hard and had a great attitude while he was in Springfield and we appreciate his contributions.”
Uzoh rejoined the Nets today in Cleveland in advance of the Nets' 7:00 p.m. game tonight against the Cavaliers.
The Armor will play their final home game of the 2010-11 season on Saturday March 26th when they host the New Mexico Thunderbirds at 8:00 p.m. at the MassMutual Center. The game will be the Armor's 'Fan Appreciation Night', as well as 'Affiliate Night'.
