Chas McFarland Returns to the Armor
McFarland returns to the Armor after playing in 18 games (15 starts) during the 2010-11 regular season, in which he averaged 10.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 23.4 minutes per game. McFarland was injured in the Armor’s Jan. 27th game against Tulsa.
“We’re excited to have Chas back with us in Springfield,” Armor head coach Dee Brown said. “Chas worked hard to return before the end of the season and we think he’ll give our frontcourt a boost down the stretch.”
Anderson, whom the Armor acquired on Feb. 7th, played in nine games with the Armor (three starts) and averaged 4.7 points and 2.1 rebounds in 14.6 minutes per game.
The Armor return to action on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the MassMutual Center in Springfield against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. The two teams will then play again on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. before the Armor hit the road for a four-game road trip to Fort Wayne and Sioux Falls.
The Armor's final home game of the 2010-11 regular season will be Sat. March 26th at 8:00 p.m. against the New Mexico Thunderbirds. The game will be the Armor's 'Fan Appreciation Night' and the team's 'Affiliate Night', in which the Armor organization will be handing out Armor memorabilia, memorabilia and gear from the team's three NBA affiliates (New Jersey Nets, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers), and a variety of other giveaways. The Armor will also be dedicating the evening to a slew of on-court promotions to thank fans for their loyalty and enthusiasm throughout the 2010-11 regular season!
