Brooklyn Nets Recall Toko Shengelia and Tyshawn Taylor

Springfield, Mass.---The Brooklyn Nets have recalled forward Tornike Shengelia and guard Tyshawn Taylor from the Springfield Armor of the NBA Development League, it was announced today by General Manager Billy King. The two players were assigned to Springfield on January 22.

In three games for the Armor this season, Shengelia holds D-League averages of 28.3 points on 64.6% shooting, 13.7 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 3.0 steals per game. Shengelia posted a franchise-high tying 39 points to go along with 18 rebounds on January 24 vs. Maine. Shengelia has posted one triple-double (the third in Armor history) and two double-doubles and shot 75.8% from the field (25-33) in his last two games. Shengelia missed the Armor's game in Maine on Sunday with concussion symptoms and he is out indefinitely.

Taylor has averaged 26.5 points, 7.5 assists and 4.3 rebounds in four D-League contests this season. Taylor has scored at least 20 points in all four games and has recorded two double-doubles.

The Armor are 2-1 with Shengelia in the lineup this season and 2-2 with Taylor in the lineup.
