Skyforce Partners With Union Gospel Mission of Sioux Falls
Sioux Falls, S.D. (March 15, 2010) – The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that the team has partnered with the Union Gospel Mission of Sioux Falls to help raise money for the cause. The Skyforce will help the Union Gospel Mission of Sioux Falls celebrate its 110th anniversary by donating $7 for each $15 ticket purchased to Wednesday night’s home game against the Idaho Stampede. The Union Gospel Mission of Sioux Falls opened its door on March 17, 1900. The Mission serves three meals a day and provides lodging to the needy, as well as maintaining an adult learning, education and employment services center, video ministry, community outreach, youth ministry, discipleship program, medical clinic, thrift store and nightly chapel services.
In addition to recognizing the organization at the game, Skyforce front office staff, coaches, players and Skyleaders will help serve lunch and mingle with guests from 11-1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23. For more information about the Mission contact Executive Director Fran Stenberg at (605) 334-6732.
The Skyforce’s next game is on Tuesday, March 16 at home against the Idaho Stampede. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. CT at the Sioux Falls Arena.
