Minnesota Timberwolves Night Set For Saturday

Sioux Falls, S.D. (March 24, 2009) – The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that the team will host Minnesota Timberwolves affiliate night at the Sioux Falls Arena on Saturday against the Austin Toros. The players will be outfitted in the white home uniforms of the Timberwolves which will be auctioned off for charity during the game.

Saturday night’s game, which is sponsored by Royal River Casino, will be the second of two NBA affiliate nights this season as the team previously celebrated Charlotte Bobcats affiliate night on Feb. 28. Fans will be able to place a bid on their favorite player’s uniform until the end of the third quarter. Winners of the uniforms will be announced throughout the fourth quarter of the game and all of the proceeds from the sealed bid auction will benefit the Sanford Children’s Hospital, a hospital that serves the healthcare needs of pediatric patients in South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska, providing excellence in clinical services, advocacy, research and education.

In addition to the game uniforms, Crunch, the Timberwolves mascot, will be in attendance to entertain fans throughout the game and at halftime and the Skyleaders will wear Timberwolves Dancers’ uniforms.

The Skyforce’s next game is on Friday, March 27 at home against the Albuquerque Thunderbirds. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. at the Sioux Falls Arena.
