Skyforce Kicks Off Read to Achieve Week

Sioux Falls, S.D. (December 10, 2007) – The Sioux Falls Skyforce will celebrate John Morrell Read to Achieve Week this week by visiting several schools around the community lecturing students about the importance of reading and showing respect to others as well as yourself by saying no to drugs and alcohol.

Skyforce coaches Nate Tibbetts and Tony Fritz, along with the players and front office staff will visit over 5,500 students to promote the love of reading. The coaches and players will also stress the importance of respecting friends, family and teachers. At the conclusion of the 30-minute program each student will be given a John Morrell Read to Achieve bookmark which will encourage students to read in their spare time.
