WNBA Player to Appear at Upcoming Skyforce Game

Sioux Falls, S.D. (March 22, 2007) – The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that Nicole Ohlde from the Minnesota Lynx will be participating in a pregame clinic with area Girl Scouts and signing autographs at the game on Saturday, March 24, against the Tulsa 66ers. She will be entering her fourth season in the WNBA and has spent her entire career with the Minnesota Lynx.

Ohlde started all 34 games for the Lynx last season and has appeared in 102 straight contests since joining the WNBA, the longest such streak in franchise history. She was signed by Minnesota on April 23, 2004 after she was drafted in the first round (sixth overall) of the 2004 WNBA Draft. Ohlde has career averages of 10.8 points and 5.7 rebounds in 102 games (69 starts). She averaged 14.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists in two games in the 2004 WNBA Playoffs. Prior to playing in the WNBA, Ohlde enjoyed a stellar career at Kansas State as she was a two-time consensus First Team All-American, two-time Big 12 Player of the Year and three-time First Team All-Big 12. She was also the first player in Kansas State history to have her jersey (#3) retired.
