Skyforce Set to Host Military Night

Sioux Falls, S.D. (January 31, 2008) – The Sioux Falls Skyforce will host their fourth annual Military Night game presented by Architecture Incorporated and media partner KELO TV on Saturday, Feb. 2 against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. Free tickets courtesy of Architecture Incorporated will be available at a designated table in the Sioux Falls Arena box office lobby the night of the game for military personnel and their families. Patrons must show their military ID in order to receive the complimentary tickets.

Skyforce players, including NBA assignees Jermareo Davidson (Bobcats) and Chris Richard (Timberwolves), will be wearing camouflage jerseys which can be won via silent auction. Bidding for the jerseys will begin when the doors open at 6:15 p.m. and close at the end of the third quarter of Saturday night’s contest. Winners of the jerseys will be announced throughout the fourth quarter of the game and all of the proceeds from the silent auction will benefit the “Going Home” statue fund. The 10-foot statue will be placed at Veterans Memorial Park and will honor those in Sioux Falls who have died in combat.

In addition to the silent auction, the Skyforce will also host an enlistment ceremony during halftime. Over 100 young men and women who have signed up for the Air Force, Army, Marines, Navy and South Dakota Air National Guard will take part in a ceremony that will officially enlist them into one of the previously mentioned organizations.
