Timberwolves Re-Assign Flynn to Skyforce

Sioux Falls, S.D. (Dec. 8, 2010) – The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that the Minnesota Timberwolves have re-assigned guard Jonny Flynn. He recorded eight points, nine assists and two steals in his NBA Development League debut against the Iowa Energy last Friday night at the Sioux Falls Arena. He is expected to be in uniform this weekend in back-to-back home games against the Tulsa 66ers. The active roster now stands at 12 players.

Flynn averaged 13.5 points and 4.4 assists in 81 games (all starts) last season. The 6-0, 195-pound second-year player was named the NBA’s T-Mobile Rookie of the Month for July 2009 after averaging 15.0 points and 7.4 assists while shooting 48.0 percent (24-of-50) from the field, 58.3 percent (7-of-12) from the 3-point line and 90 percent (20-of-22) from the free throw line in five summer league contests. He was drafted by the Timberwolves in the first round (6th overall) of the 2009 NBA Draft after finishing his collegiate career ranked 38th in scoring (1,211) and seventh in assists (439) in Syracuse history.
