Sioux Falls, S.D. (June 15, 2009) – The Sioux Falls Skyforce and Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA announced today that they will host a Pledge to Be a S.T.A.R. The camp, which hosts children (8-13) of all skill levels, teaches basketball skills fundamentals, stresses sportsmanship and offers insights into life lessons on and off the court while emphasizing good health and nutrition for a lifetime. The morning session focuses on basketball skills, including ball-handling, shooting, passing and defense, while the afternoon session consists of competitive games (knockout, shooting contests, dribbling games, etc.). The camp also features a Parents Seminar, where campers’ parents are invited to learn valuable information on how they can contribute positively to their child’s youth sports experience.
