Skyforce to Hold Open Tryouts
Sioux Falls, S.D. (September 29, 2006) Ė The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that they will hold open tryouts on Saturday and Sunday, October 21-22, at Tea Area High School, which is located at 500 W. Brian Street in Tea, SD.
Open tryouts offer local athletes an opportunity to showcase their talents in front of NBA Development League (D-League) coaches while they compete to earn a position in the teamís official training camp. Training camp is scheduled to begin on Sunday, November 12.
There will be a morning (10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.) and evening (6:00-8:00 p.m.) session on Saturday and the tryouts will conclude with one session (11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.) on Sunday.
Applicants must be eligible to play in the NBA Development League and may pre-register by submitting the official registration, disclosure, and release forms, along with a $125 nonrefundable fee by 5:00 p.m. on October 13. Tryouts will be limited to the first 100 players to register and no incomplete registrations will be accepted. All applications received after the pre-registration deadline will be subjected to a $150 nonrefundable fee.
