Santa Cruz Warriors Acquire Center Hilton Armstrong

The Santa Cruz Warriors have acquired NBA veteran center Hilton Armstrong.

Armstrong, 28, has five seasons of NBA experience, playing for the New Orleans Hornets, Sacramento Kings, Houston Rockets, Washington Wizards and Atlanta Hawks. He averaged 3.1 points and 2.6 rebounds in 277 contests in the NBA since the 2006-2007 season. Armstrong, a 6’11”, 235-pound center, was the 12th overall pick by the New Orleans Hornets in the 2006 NBA Draft. Armstrong averaged 2.1 points and 1.9 rebounds in 20 NBA playoff games over three seasons, and most recently averaged 7.2 points and 6.4 rebounds in NBA Summer League with the Los Angeles Clippers. The University of Connecticut product was named the 2006 Big East Player of the Year.

Armstrong will be in uniform for tonight’s 7:00 p.m. tip-off against the Los Angeles D-Fenders.
