Santa Cruz Warriors Part time Seasonal Job Descriptions
Please review the following job descriptions to choose a function (or functions) you think you would fit in best. We hire based on need, so you may be positioned in a function other than your first request.

1. Usher & Courtesy Crew Member
Members will assist fans, ticket holders and sponsors on game days and at various community events.

Responsibilities:
  • Providing guests with the best service experience imaginable
  • Assisting guests with basic team and arena inquiries including seating information
  • Actively seeking interaction with guests to communicate in ways that enhance their experience
  • Participating in game entertainment segments such as dances, contests and cheers
  • Enforcing the facility's policies and procedures to ensure the best experience for all arena guests
  • Reporting potential fan issues or concerns to a supervisor for resolution as needed
  • Maintaining minor crowd control before, during, and after games or special events
  • Maintaining an extremely clean and professional facility, this includes light cleaning and notifying supervisors of any spills, garbage, or safety concerns
  • Greeting guests entering and exiting the arena in a courteous manner
  • Assisting with the distribution of promotional items as directed
  • Performing all other assigned duties to ensure a safe and enjoyable event for our guests

2. Guest Service Representative
Representatives are responsible for pre-game set up and post-game breakdown of guest services areas as well as assisting guests to give them the best experience possible.

Responsibilities:
  • Actively seeking interaction with guests to communicate in ways that enhance their experience
  • Enforcing the facility's policies and procedures to ensure the best experience for all arena guests
  • Reporting potential fan issues or concerns to a supervisor for resolution as needed
  • Maintaining an extremely clean and professional facility, this includes light cleaning and notifying supervisors of any spills, garbage, or safety concerns
  • Performing all other assigned duties to ensure a safe and enjoyable event for our guests.

3. Marketing Associate
Associates will work on the execution of promotional giveaways and contests at Warriors home games and at various events throughout the Santa Cruz Area.

Responsibilities:
  • Providing guests with the best service experience imaginable
  • Assisting guests with basic team and arena inquiries including seating information
  • Actively seeking interaction with fans to communicate in ways that enhance their experience
  • Set up, and breakdown at promotional events of all types

4. Will Call
Will Call members assist in the game day function of the ticket operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Printing, organizing and delivering ticket orders to guests as they arrive at Kaiser Permanente Arena
  • Actively seeking interaction with guests to communicate in ways that enhance their experience
  • Enforcing the facility's policies and procedures to ensure the best experience for all arena guests
  • Reporting potential fan issues or concerns to a supervisor for resolution as needed
  • Performing all other assigned duties to ensure a safe and enjoyable event for our guests

5. Game Operations Associate
Associates assist in aspects related to game entertainment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assisting in on court promotions, half-time acts, possible dance team performances and dunk team performances
  • Set up and break down of player and media seating areas.

6. Ticket Taker
Ticket Takers are responsible for welcoming fans and scan tickets as they enter Kaiser Permanente Arena. They are the first line of Team Members as fans enter the venue and must therefore be friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable about general Santa Cruz Warriors information.

Responsibilities:
  • Admit guests into the venue that present valid ticket/credentials and deny access to those who did not
  • Enforcing the facility's policies and procedures to ensure the best experience for all arena guests
  • Reporting potential fan issues or concerns to a supervisor for resolution as needed
  • Maintaining an extremely clean and professional facility, this includes light cleaning and notifying supervisors of any spills, garbage, or safety concerns
  • Performing all other assigned duties to ensure a safe and enjoyable event for our guests

7. Program Vendor
Program Vendors will conduct program sales as well as greet fans and capture their attention as they enter Kaiser Permanente Arena for Santa Cruz Warriors home games.

Responsibilities:
  • Sales of team/venue programs and related merchandise
  • Enforcing the facility's policies and procedures to ensure the best experience for all arena guests
  • Reporting potential fan issues or concerns to a supervisor for resolution as needed
  • Maintaining an extremely clean and professional facility, this includes light cleaning and notifying supervisors of any spills, garbage, or safety concerns
  • Performing all other assigned duties to ensure a safe and enjoyable event for our guests


Requirements for all positions include the following:
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a public environment
  • Availability to work a variety of hours including weekdays, weekends and holidays
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Ability to conduct basic math calculations
  • Ability to push/pull/carry items up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to climb stairs and to stand for long periods of time
  • Ideal candidates are proactive, responsible, accountable, professional, motivated and enthusiastic
  • Ability and willingness to explain and enforce facility policies in a courteous manner
  • Ability to multi-task and to complete assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • Applicants must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. (Marketing Assistants)
  • Previous Guest Services and/or cash handling experience (Program Vendors & Will Call)
