Nora Tagle Cano has been with the Vipers since its’ inaugural year in 2007. Nora currently wears two Executive Hats for the RGV Vipers. Nora is the Executive Vice President of the Vipers and the Executive Director of the Snake Charmers.

Immediately after graduating from PSJA North HS in 1993, Nora attended Kilgore College where she received an Associate of Arts Degree. While in Kilgore she accomplished one of her dreams of becoming a World Famous Kilgore College Rangerette. As a Rangerette, Nora was fortunate to perform at Euro Disney and in Nice, France for the Carnaval Parade. After Kilgore, Nora attended The University of Texas at Austin and received a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Dance in 1997.

After UT Austin, Nora returned to her hometown of Pharr, Texas and taught dance at the local Boys and Girls Club. In 1998, Nora headed to the “Big D” and accomplished her childhood dream of becoming one of America’s Sweethearts. Nora was a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader from 1998-2001 where she held the position of Captain of the squad her last year. One of Nora’s proudest accomplishments was becoming a part of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders’ elite Show Group, which allowed Nora to travel the world and entertain our troops. In three years, Nora completed six USO Tours to places such as Bosnia, Albania, Macedonia, Budapest, Okinawa, Germany, Italy and many third world countries. Nora also completed a Celebrity USO Tour, which took her through Naples, Italy and aboard the USS Harry S. Truman with Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long & and the entire FOX Sports Crew. Nora also performed alongside Jewel, Al Franken, Jerry Bruckheimer, Senator John Glen, Ruth Pointer and Carol King.

As a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, Nora also performed at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City with Ricky Martin in front of 110,000 Fans and at the Tokyo Bowl in Tokyo, Japan. Nora has also performed with other celebrities such as Randy Travis, Jessica Simpson and Clint Black during the Dallas Cowboys’ Annual Thanksgiving Halftime Entertainment. Nora retired from the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders active squad in 2001, but was hand selected by Director Kelli Finglass to be a part of the All Star Group to continue to do appearances for the DCC for another three years where Nora continued to proudly represent the Rio Grande Valley and the Hispanic community.

A native of Pharr, Texas, Nora enjoys giving back to her childhood community. Nora currently sits on the Executive Board for the Boys and Girls Club of Pharr and on the Board for the Hidalgo County Cotillion Club. However and most importantly, Nora enjoys being a wife to her high school sweetheart, Michael G. Cano and a mother to her 4 yr old son, Aaron Justice who steals her heart everyday!
