Hasbrouck Invited To NBA Training Camp

MCALLEN, TEXAS - The NBA Development League Champion Rio Grande Valley Vipers announced today that guard Kenny Hasbrouck (6-3, 196, Siena) has signed with the Miami Heat and will compete to make the team in NBA Training Camp this fall.

In 10 games (nine starts) with the Vipers, Hasbrouck averaged 16.9 points, 2.4 rebounds 2.9 assists and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 50.4% from the field, 38.1% from behind the arc and 80.6% from the foul line. He earned a GATORADE Call-Up to the Heat on March 16, signing two 10-day contracts before signing for the rest of the season.

Hasbrouck played for the Heat during the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, averaging 13.6 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. He shot .490 (24-for-51) from the field, including .450 (9-for-21) from behind the arc. Hasbrouck started all five games, averaging 28:32 of playing time while leading the Heat to a 4-1 record.

While with the Heat, Hasbrouck will have the opportunity to play with LeBron James (6-8, 250, St. Vincent-St. Mary HS), Dwayne Wade (6-4, 220, Marquette) and Chris Bosh (6-10, 230, Georgia Tech).
