MCALLEN, TEXAS - The NBA Development League Champion Rio Grande Valley Vipers and Lone Star National Bank announced today that all Lone Star National Bank customers have the ability to get a Vipers debit card upon request.
Customers with existing Lone Star National Bank accounts can go into any branch for an immediate trade-in of their current card for a Vipers card.
Former-Viper and current Houston Rockets starting point guard Aaron Brooks (6-0, 161, Oregon) was on hand the for the launch at the Lone Star National Bank headquarters in McAllen on Tuesday.

Brooks, who was assigned to the Vipers during the 2007-08 season, averaged 23.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game in two contests, both at State Farm Arena. Brooks was named the NBA’s most-improved player this season after averaging 19.6 points and 5.3 assists per game for the Rockets.
The Rio Grande Valley Vipers are the NBA Development League affiliate of the NBA Houston Rockets. The NBA Development League, founded in 2001, is the NBA’s official minor league whose teams have direct affiliations to NBA franchises. For the 2009-10 season, the league featured 16 teams – including the debut of the Maine Red Claws and the Springfield Armor, while a new team, the Texas Legends, will join the League for the 2010-11 season. A proven developer of talent, 20 percent of players in the NBA at the conclusion of the 2009-10 season boasted NBA D-League experience, while the league continues to develop coaches, referees, and front-office staff for the NBA and its teams.
