Winner Gets a $5,000 Award and Title of Official Band of the Vipers

HIDALGO, TEXAS - The NBA D-League Rio Grande Valley Vipers announced on January 12th that they will be giving away a $5,000 award and crowning the “Official Band of the RGV Vipers” to the winner of a regional high school band competition to be held during halftime of select Vipers games at Dodge Arena.

“This is a friendly competition, and we’re very excited about seeing some of the great high school bands in the region perform for our crowds,” said Vipers President and GM Brian Michael Cooper.

The teams will be judged by a combination of fan support and judges at the game.

The winner will be announced during the Vipers’ regular-season finale on Saturday, April 11th.
