The RGV Vipers are the defending NBA Development League Champions. The Vipers finished the regular season with a franchise-best 35-14 record, and captured the championship with a 16-game win-streak to end the season.

“The Vipers are excited to once again host an international preseason exhibition game at UTPA,” said RGV Vipers president Bert Garcia. “This will be the Valley’s first opportunity to get a glimpse of this year’s Vipers squad and what we can expect during the 2013-14 season.”

This exhibition game marks the first time the Vipers will play in the RGV since winning the 2013 NBA Development League Championship. The Vipers home opener and championship celebration will take place Nov. 29 when RGV hosts the Tulsa 66ers at 7 p.m. at State Farm Arena.

Prior to the exhibition game, the South Texas Hoopsters Under-12 team will play the Tampico Huracanes Under-12 team in a noon contest at the UTPA Fieldhouse. Admission to the game is also free.

The UTPA Fieldhouse is located on North 5th Avenue on the east side of The University of Texas-Pan American campus.
