RENO, NEV., October 24, 2012 — The Reno Bighorns will host their annual NBA D-League Draft Party at Sully’s Bar inside the Tamarack Junction on Friday, November 2 at 3:30 p.m., the team announced today.

All fans are encouraged to attend the free event where they will enjoy food and drink specials at Sully’s, have the chance to win Bighorns prizes and get an inside peek into the Bighorns “War Room.” The Bighorns coaching staff will be on hand to announce picks, as well as offer player analysis.

"Our friends at the Tamarack Junction do an excellent job in adding to the NBA D-League draft excitement by providing a great venue where our fans can be part of the action," said Reno Bighorns owner Herb Santos, Jr. "I look forward to seeing our Reno Bighorns fans at the draft as we look to select that key player who will lead us this season to the NBA D-League Championship.

Kids are encouraged to attend the draft party. The Bighorns will be giving two arcade tokens to each kid under the age of 14 in attendance. The Bighorns mascot, Bruno, will also be making appearances throughout the night.

The Bighorns will be raffling off prizes, including courtside seats and player meet-and-greets. The draft party will be hosted by Cory Smith and Dreu Murin, the Bighorns new In-Game hosts. This will be fans first chance to see the two in action together.

“We are glad that fans will be able to share in the excitement of building your Reno Bighorns for the upcoming season,” said Bighorns head coach Paul Mokeski.

The Bighorns pick fifth in each round of the eight-round draft, except the third round. This year’s third-round draft picked was traded to the Santa Cruz Warriors in exchange for Chris Ayer. Ayer started 25 games for the Bighorns last year and averaged 6.9 points per game.

The Bighorns kick off their fifth season in Reno on Friday, November 30th at the Reno Events Center. Season tickets and group tickets are on sale today. For more information, fans can call 775-853-8220.
