Marcus Landry and Jerome Jordan have been selected to play in the seventh annual NBA D-League All-Star Game, the league announced. The game takes place Feb. 16, at Sprint Arena at NBA All-Star Jam Session at Houston’s George R. Brown Convention Center. The game will air live on NBA TV at 3 p.m. ET.
Landry (6-8, 225) is currently averaging 16.7 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. He placed second in the 2013 NBA D-League Showcase 3-Point Shootout in Reno in January. Landry was also named to the 2011 NBA D-League All-Star team.
Jordan (7-0, 253) joined the Bighorns in December via a trade with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. He is averaging 14.3 points and 8.2 rebounds in 16 games with Reno. Jordan is currently ranked first in the D-League in field goal percentage, making 60.1% of his shots.
"The entire Reno Bighorns family is excited and proud that Marcus and Jerome have been selected to play in the 2013 NAB Development League All Star game," said Bighorns owner, Herb Santos, Jr. "Both Marcus and Jerome are not only great leaders on the floor, but they have led by example in our community as good role models for our youth."
Both Landry and Jordan will play for the D-League All-Star Futures Team. They were voted in to the game by the D-League’s 16 head coaches and were eligible to be selected based on having played in half of the Bighorns’ games through Jan. 27. Players must be on an active NBA D-League roster at the time of the NBA D-League All-Star Game in order to compete.
NBA D-League All-Star action will tip off at 2:30 p.m. ET with the NBA D-League Boost Mobile Three-Point Contest. The 2013 NBA D-League Dream Factory Presented by Boost Mobile continues with the NBA D-League Boost Mobile Slam Dunk Contest which will take place during halftime of the 2013 NBA D-League All-Star Game.
