FRISCO, TEX.— Andre Emmett had his second straight game scoring over 30 points, but this time it was not enough as the Reno Bighorns fell to the Texas Legends 111-103 at the Dr Pepper Arena Thursday Night. Emmett had 36 points, including sinking 15-of-16 free throws, in the loss. Will Blalock once again had a great performance in his starting role, posting 15 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals for the Bighorns. Alando Tucker led the Legends with 22 points and five assists.

The Bighorns shot 55.6 percent from the field, but the Legends grabbed 16 offensive rebounds and had 17 more shot attempts in the game. The Bighorns also turned the ball over 19 times compared to the Legends’ 11 giveaways.

Emmett, who scored 35 points in a win over the Rio Grande Valley Viper Saturday night, showed why he is the NBA D-League’s leading scorer, shooting 10-of-16 from the field and continuously making trips to the free throw line. Antoine Wright added 18 points for the Bighorns while newly acquired David Harrison had eight points and four rebounds. The Legends saw six players score in double figures.

The Bighorns stay in Frisco, Texas for a rematch against the Legends on Saturday, March 24 at the Dr Pepper Arena. The team returns to Reno for a March 30 matchup against the Idaho Stampede at the Reno Events Center.
