BIGHORNS ANNOUNCE FINALISTS FOR IN-GAME HOST

RENO, NEV., October 8, 2012 — The Reno Bighorns have announced Cory Smith and Dreu Murin as the finalists to fill their in-game host position and are asking for the fans help in deciding who will get the job.

Starting Tuesday, October 9, Bighorns fans can vote for their favorite candidate on the Bighorns Facebook page. Cory and Dreu have each created a video to show why fans should pick them. To vote, fans should “like” their favorite video. Voting will close on Friday, October 12 at 5 p.m.

The In-Game host serves as the voice and face of the Bighorns in-game entertainment during all home games. The ideal candidate will bring high energy and a positive attitude to the job, creating fun and memorable experiences for fans.

“When fans vote, we would like them to keep in mind that we’re looking for someone with a strong ‘stage’ presence,” said Bighorns Director of Marketing and Game Operations Natalie Arneson.

She added, “We greatly value our fans’ opinions and want them to be part of the process of selecting the in-game host.”

Fans are strongly encouraged to vote for their favorite candidate, as the winner will be interacting with fans during Bighorns games and community events.

The Bighorns kick off their fifth season in Reno on Friday, November 30th at the Reno Events Center. Season tickets and group tickets are on sale today. For more information, fans can call 775-853-8220.
