GREENVILLE, S.C., April 13 -- The Idaho Stampede and the Dakota Wizards have secured the top seeds and a bye in the opening round of the 2007 NBA Development League Championship presented by Delta Air Lines that gets underway with first-round games at Sioux Falls on Tuesday, April 17 and at Colorado on Wednesday, April 18.
The second seed in the Eastern Division, the Sioux Falls Skyforce, will host the third-seed Fort Worth Flyers at the Sioux Falls Arena at 7 p.m. CT. The Colorado 14ers, the second seed in the Western Division will host the third-seeded Albuquerque Thunderbirds at 7 p.m. MT.
The Colorado-Albuquerque winner visits Boise to meet the Western Division champion Idaho Stampede on Friday, April 20. The winner of the Sioux Falls-Fort Worth game will travel to Bismarck to take on the Eastern Division champion Dakota Wizards on Saturday, April 21.
The winner of the second-round games will meet at the arena of the highest seed for the 2007 D-League title. The entire D-League Championship is a sudden death, “one-and-done” format. Championship games will be played between April 24-29, depending on which team is hosting. Every game in the D-League postseason will be televised by NBA TV.
