Played final two seasons of collegiate career at New Mexico, after starting career at Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, IA. Played in 63 games, starting 53 times. Is the only player in New Mexico history to have 100 career blocks and 100 career steals. Finished fourth in school history in career blocked shots (137). Had five career double-doubles.
As a senior, averaged 9.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.2 blocked shots. Started 30 of 31 games. Led team in rebounding. Was the only player in the nation to lead his conference in blocked shots and steals. Registered a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds against Baylor on Mar. 14. Blocked a career-high eight shots against Alcorn State on Nov. 27. Recorded nine points, a career-high 13 rebounds, and five assists against Colorado State on Jan. 27. Was selected to the All-MWC Tournament Team after scoring 28 points and grabbing 19 rebounds in three games. Had 22 points and 17 rebounds in three NIT games.
As a junior, averaged 9.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.2 blocked shots. Started the last 23 games of the season. Led MWC in blocked shots, the first Lobo to lead the league in that category since former NBA player Luc Longley in 1989-90. Also ranked seventh in the league in field goal percentage (.546). Set seventh highest single-season blocked shot total with 70. Scored career-high 26 points on 10-for-14 shooting against Wyoming on Feb. 14. Tallied 13 points, seven rebounds, and season-high seven blocks against UNLV on Jan. 17. Made the All-Mountain West Newcomer Team.
As a sophomore at Iowa Western CC, averaged 16.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 2.9 blocked shots, and 2.6 steals. Started all 31 games. Led conference in blocked shots. Nearly registered a triple-double with 25 points, 13 rebounds, and eight blocked shots against Penn Valley. Was a First Team All-Region selection and earned Honorable Mention NJCAA All-American honors.
As a freshman, averaged 14.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.4 blocked shots, and 2.4 steals. Scored season-high 27 points at Indian Hills. Helped lead team to a 22-9 overall record. Earned Second Team All-Region honors.
