BACKGROUND
Played with the Raleigh Knights in the World Basketball Association in the summer
of 2004.
College Highlights: Earned NCAA Division II Second Team All-American
honors from Daktronics and Basketball Times as a senior. Finished as the second
all-time leading scorer in Bowie State history with 1,437 career points. Led
team in scoring and rebounding all three seasons. Started collegiate career
at American University before transferring to Bowie State. Earned CIAA Tournament
MVP as a senior and helped lead Bowie State to the Final Four of the NCAA Division
II Tournament. Earned All-CIAA honors his junior and senior seasons.
Senior (2003-04): Averaged 19.7 points (fifth in the CIAA) and 9.3 rebounds
(tied for third). Started all 35 games. Recorded 16 double-doubles. Scored career-high
39 points on 14-for-19 shooting and grabbed 14 rebounds against Lenoir-Rhyne
in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Registered 33 points and 12 rebounds
at Virginia Union. Tallied 30 points and 14 rebounds at Livingstone. Led team
with 21 points against Virginia Union in the finals of the CIAA Tournament.
Posted 17 points and 15 rebounds against Presbyterian in the third round of
the NCAA Tournament and earned South Atlantic Regional Most Valuable player.
Junior (2002-03): Averaged 19.3 points (fourth in the CIAA) and 8.9 rebounds
(first). Started 22 of 26 games. Scored 20 or more points 15 times and posted
11 double-doubles. Scored season-high 28 points on two occasions, against Johnson
C. Smith and at Virginia State. Recorded 23 points and season-high 14 rebounds
against Elizabeth City State. Recorded a double-double of 26 points and 11 rebounds
against St. Paul's.
Sophomore (2000-01): Averaged 17.7 points and 8.1 rebounds. Started all
14 games he appeared in after being eligible from an NCAA suspension. Scored
season-high 32 points against Elizabeth City State and grabbed season-high 13
rebounds against Virginia Union.
Freshman (1999-00): At American, averaged 7.3 points and 4.6 rebounds
in 24.8 minutes a contest. Started 16 of 26 games. Earned CAA All-Rookie Team
mention.
Personal: Played in the Capital Classic after his senior season of high
school.
