BACKGROUND

Participated in training camp with the Houston Rockets in 2002. Played with the Rockets in 2001-02, averaging 3.1 points and 1.8 assists in 10.1 minutes a game. Appeared in 40 contests, starting once. Had a career-high of 16 points at Portland on Apr. 17, shooting 6-for-11 from the field. Also tied a career high with five rebounds. Dished out career-high seven assists on two separate occasions. Grabbed four steals against Memphis on Apr. 14.

Finished collegiate career at McNeese State as the eighth all-time leading scorer (1692 points) and third all-time assist leader (360) in school history. Received All-Southland Conference honors both his junior and senior seasons. Ranked in the Top 25 in nation in scoring his final two years.

As a senior, averaged 20.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 3.6 assists. Finished second in the conference in scoring, to teammate Desmond Mallet. Led team in assists and free throw shooting. Led team in scoring 10 times. Notched a double-double with season-high 34 points and 13 rebounds against Sam Houston State on Mar. 9. Scored 33 points and grabbed 10 rebounds at Texas-San Antonio on Feb. 3. Tallied 29 points and 11 rebounds against Northwestern State on Feb. 24.

As a junior, averaged 22.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.5 assists. Led Southland Conference in scoring. Paced team in scoring in 18 games. Topped 30 points on six occasions, including a career-high of 38 points against Texas-San Antonio on Feb. 26. Registered 35 points at Southwest Texas on Jan. 15. Recorded a double-double with 30 points and 12 rebounds at West Virginia on Dec. 4.

As a sophomore, averaged 5.0 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 14.7 minutes a game. Started twice in 26 games. Was slowed by an injury early in the season. Ranked fourth on the team in assists and was third in steals. Scored in double figures three times, with a season-high of 18 points against Lamar on Jan. 23.

As a freshman, averaged 13.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.9 assists. Started 24 of 26 games. Scoring averaged jumped to 14.0 points in league play. Registered two double-doubles. Scored season-high 24 points against Southeastern Louisiana on Jan. 5. Dished out 10 assists against Texas-San Antonio on Jan. 19.
