BACKGROUND
College Highlights: Helped Kennesaw State to the NCAA Division II championship
as a senior, and earned the Elite Eight Most Outstanding Player Award. Also
named a NCAA Division II First Team All-American by the NABC as a senior, the
first-ever player in school history to earn the distinction. Named Peach Belt
Conference Player of the Year his junior and senior seasons. Finished collegiate
career as Kennesaw State's fifth all-time leading scorer with 1,152 career points,
the most in school history for a two-year player. Also ranks second all-time
in steals (162) and eighth in assists (187). Played first two seasons at Southern
Union College in Alabama.
Senior (2002-03): Averaged a team-leading 16.1 points, 4.3 rebounds,
and 2.7 assists. Started 37 of 38 games. Set a single-season record for steals
with 94. Posted season-high 26 points, including 4-for-7 shooting from behind
three-point range, in the NCAA Division II Tournament title game victory over
Southern Indiana. Recorded 22 points in the tournament semi-finals against Humboldt
State and 22 points in the Elite Eight against Pfeiffer (NC). Tallied 24 points
and a season-high eight rebounds at Clayton State. Scored 15 points and dished
out a career-high 12 assists against only one turnover a Wingate. Shot 9-for-12
from the field on his way to 24 points against North Alabama.
Junior (2001-02): Averaged a team-leading 16.4 points and 3.8 rebounds.
Started 30 of 33 games. Scored career-high 34 points and grabbed seven rebounds
at Chaminade. Recorded 28 points against Columbia Union. Tallied 26 points,
seven rebounds, and six assists against Columbus State. Led team with 25 points
at USC-Spartanburg. Posted a double-double of 16 points and ten rebounds in
the semi-finals of the Peach Belt Conference tournament against Augusta State.
Sophomore (2001-02): At Southern Union, averaged 7.7 points and 3.3 rebounds.
Helped lead Southern Union to the NJCAA Tournament. Selected MVP of the Alabama
JUCO All-Star Game.
