BACKGROUND

Played briefly in 2001-02 in Poland for Azotzy Unia Tarnow, averaging 2.5 points in two games. Was a member of the Sports.com All-Stars, which played exhibition games against NCAA teams during the season.

Played final three seasons of collegiate career at Minnesota, after playing his first season at Louisiana State. Sat out 1997-98 season at Minnesota under NCAA transfer rules. Finished collegiate career with 959 total points and 339 assists.

As a senior, averaged 14.3 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 3.9 assists. Started all 32 games. Ranked third in the Big Ten in three-point field goal percentage (.391). Led team in assists and steals. Scored career-high 34 points, hitting seven three-point shots, and also handed out five assists against Michigan State. Ended career with team-high 28 points against Tulsa in second round of the NIT.

As a junior, averaged 11.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 4.1 assists. Started 26 of 28 games. Led the squad in assists, while finishing second on the team in scoring and steals. Scored in double figures 16 times, with a season-high of 29 points against Oregon on Dec. 18 on 10-for-15 shooting, including 6-for-7 from three-point range.

As a sophomore, averaged 2.8 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 12.5 minutes a game. Contributed mainly in a reserve role, but started six times. Scored season-high 11 points against Sacramento State on Dec. 29. Dished out five assists four times. Played season-high 25 minutes against Winthrop on Nov. 28.

As a freshman at Louisiana State, averaged 4.2 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 15.2 minutes a game. Scored season-high 14 points twice, against North Carolina A&T on Nov. 30 and against Kentucky on Feb. 12. Dished out season-high seven assists against South Carolina on Nov. 27 and North Carolina A&T on Nov. 30.
