BACKGROUND

Spent 2001-02 season with the Caracas Cocodrilos in Venezuela, averaging 19.6 points and 5.4 assists in 14 games. Also played with the Phoenix Eclipse of the ABA in 2001-02, averaging 17.3 points and 10.0 assists in eight games. Started year playing with Nike Elite, which competed in exhibition games against NCAA teams. Participated in the Chicago Pre-Draft Camp in 2002.

Played at Florida for three seasons before being declared ineligible prior to the 2001-02 season. Appeared in 92 games, starting 63. Completed collegiate career ranked third in school history in three-point field goals made (188), fourth in career free throw percentage (.804), and tenth in assists (253).

As a junior, averaged 13.4 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 2.8 assists. Started 19 of 24 games. Missed several games due to surgery to repair a herniated disk in his lower back on Jan. 10. Led conference in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.43) and ranked seventh in three-point percentage (.371). Scored 20 or more points four times. Tallied career-high 28 points twice, against Tulane (Dec. 26) and against Kentucky (Mar. 4). Scored 11 of his 17 points in overtime at LSU on Feb. 13. Recorded 27 points in season opener at Florida State on Nov. 17, on his way to SEC Player of the Week honors. Earned AP Honorable Mention All-American honors.

As a sophomore, averaged 8.6 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists. Started all 37 games for a team that reached the NCAA Tournament title game. Finished eighth in the conference in three-point field goal percentage (.390). Scored in double figures 13 times. Converted career-high seven three-pointers on his way to a season-best 21 points against Mississippi State on Feb. 19. Scored 20 points on 6-for-10 shooting, including 5-for-7 on three-point shots at South Carolina on Feb. 2. Was named Third Team All-SEC by the Associated Press.

As a freshman, averaged 11.0 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 2.8 assists. Started the first seven games of the season. Set school freshman records for most three-point shots made and attempted in a season. Had a string of 15 consecutive games where he hit a three-point shot. Tied season-high with 24 points against Jacksonville on Dec. 12, tying an arena record with 10-for-10 shooting from the free throw line. Named to the SEC All-Freshman Team by the Knoxville News Sentinel.
