Brown had ranked No. 2 in assists in the NBA’s Chicago Pre-Draft camp (6.3), then after draft disappointment played for Philadelphia in the Shaw’s Pro Summer League for NBA hopefuls. Last fall, Brown was a starter for One World All-Stars, a touring team that played exhibitions on Division I college campuses. He went to the U.S. Basketball League this spring, but played only one game (5.0 ppg in 7 minutes for Pennsylvania).
