BACKGROUND
Started professional career playing for Galatasaray in the Turkish League in 2003-04, averaging 13.1 points and 5.6 rebounds in 17 games. Finished the year playing for the Venezuelan team Cocodrilos de Caracas in the Liga Sudamericana.
Career Highlights: Earned Third Team All-American honors from the Associated
Press and was named SEC Player of the Year as a senior. Finished collegiate
career as the 14th all-time leading scorer in Tennessee history with 1,569 points
and ranks among the school's all-time leaders in three-point field goals made
(11th) and free throws made (eighth).
Senior (2002-03): Averaged a team-high 21.2 points (ranked 26th nationally)
and 7.8 rebounds (ranked third in the SEC). Started all 29 games. Recorded season-high
38 points and grabbed 11 rebounds against New Mexico. Registered 33 points against
Georgia. Posted a double-double of 22 points and season-high 14 rebounds against
Kentucky. Tallied 28 points and 12 rebounds against Georgia Tech. Kicked off
season with a 31 point performance against Gardner-Webb.
Junior (2001-02): Averaged 14.8 points and 6.5 rebounds in 14 games
before being sidelined for the rest of the season with a torn anterior cruciate
ligament in his left knee. Missed two games at the start of the season due to
a stress fracture in his right fibula. Scored season-high 23 points twice, against
Southern Methodist and against West Virginia.
Sophomore (2000-01): Averaged 12.9 points and 5.3 rebounds. Started seven
times, playing most of the season in a sixth-man role. Came off the bench to
provide 27 points and ten rebounds against Syracuse. Recorded a double-double
of 21 points and 11 rebounds in only 21 minutes against Auburn. Registered 18
points and nine rebounds against Kentucky.
Freshman (1999-00): Averaged 9.7 points and 4.4 rebounds in 17.3 minutes
a contest. Started one game. Led team in free throw percentage (.798). Averaged
11.7 points and 5.0 rebounds in three NCAA Tournament games.
Personal: Majored in arts and sciences. Godfather is former Chicago
Bears star Richard Dent.
