Played with the Louisville Eagles in the United Pro Basketball League (UPBL) in 2002-03. Participated with the EA Sports East All-Stars Touring team, which played exhibition games against NCAA teams during the fall of 2002.
Early entry candidate for the 2002 NBA Draft. Sat out the 2001-02 season at Louisville after being declared ineligible in June 2001 when the Kentucky Supreme Court set aside an injunction that had allowed him to play at Louisville during the 2000-01 season. Completed his education at Louisville as an economics major with a 3.8 GPA while sitting out. Was one of three celebrated Nigerian basketball players who were brought to Russia in 1999 under questionable circumstances and had college eligibility problems due to their brief stay ever since.
As a freshman, averaged 3.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.1 blocked shots in 17.8 minutes a contest. Scored season-high 12 points, grabbed five rebounds and blocked two shots against Marquette. Contributed eight points, four rebounds and two blocked shots against South Florida. Scored 10 points against Utah.
Sat out the 1999-2000 season at Louisville while his eligibility was being investigated.
Has played with the Nigerian junior national team.
