BACKGROUND

Finished collegiate career ranked eighth on Alcorn State’s all-time scoring list with 1666 points. Also holds top three single-season marks for free throws made and free throws attempted in Braves history. Played in 119 games starting 87 times. Was a First Team All-SWAC selection his last three years. Sat out the 1997-98 academic year to meet NCAA academic requirements, but regained that year of eligibility by meeting academic requirements prior to the 2001-02 season.

As a senior, averaged 15.1 points and 7.9 rebounds. Started 30 of 31 games. Led team in scoring and rebounding. Was team’s high scorer in 18 games, high rebounder in 18 games. Notched double-double of 20 points and career-high 17 rebounds against Siena in the NCAA Tournament Play-In game on Mar. 3. Scored season-high 28 points on 9-for-16 shooting in 21 minutes at Southern on Jan. 26. Recorded 25 points and 13 rebounds against Mississippi Valley State on Feb. 9. Earned All-Tournament and MVP honors of the 2002 SWAC Tournament. Honored as a Black College Sports Information Directors First Team All-American.

As a junior, averaged 16.7 points and 7.7 rebounds. Started all 30 games. Ranked fourth in the SWAC in scoring and sixth in rebounding. Set school single-season records for free throws made and free throws attempted. Scored in double figures in all but four games. Posted seven double-doubles. Scored career-high 35 points and grabbed season-high 16 rebounds against Mississippi Valley State on Jan. 13. Notched a 31 points, 15 rebound double-double against Jackson State on Feb. 5. Registered 28 points and 12 rebounds at UTEP on Dec. 9.

As a sophomore, averaged 16.6 points and 7.9 rebounds. Started 25 of 29 games. Led team in scoring, rebounding, and field goal percentage. Scored over 20 points in ten contests. Posted eight double-doubles. Scored season-high 28 points and snatched 16 rebounds against Grambling State in first round of the SWAC tournament on Mar. 9. Recorded 25 points and 15 rebounds against Jackson State in the SWAC Tournament semi-finals on Mar. 10. Posted 27 points and 14 rebounds against Mississippi Valley State on Feb. 5.

As a freshman, averaged 7.5 points and 4.3 rebounds in 16.5 minutes a game. Started four times. Notched season-high 21 points and grabbed six rebounds against Prairie View A&M in the SWAC Tournament on Mar. 3. Scored 20 points and grabbed six rebounds against Alabama A&M on Jan. 16. Was named Chevrolet Player of the Game after scoring 10 points against Stanford in the NCAA Tournament on Mar. 11.
