Played final two seasons of collegiate career at Rhode Island after starting career at Owens Technical College in Ohio. Played in 47 career games, starting 32 times.
As a senior, averaged 4.9 points and 3.1 rebounds in 18.1 minutes a game. Appeared in 17 games, missing the first semester of the season due to academics. Started nine times. Scored season-high 12 points on 6-for-9 shooting and grabbed 10 rebounds against Richmond on Feb. 20. Led team in scoring with 11 points in a season-high 33 minutes against Temple on Feb. 2. Scored eight points in season finale against Dayton in the Atlantic-10 tournament on Mar. 6.
As a junior, averaged 4.3 points and 5.1 rebounds in 20.6 minutes a game. Started 23 of 30 games in his first year in the program. Set career-high of 13 points while grabbing 10 rebounds in his Rams debut against Fairfield on Nov. 18. Notched a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds against Yale on Dec. 12. Snared nine rebounds against Missouri in the Great Alaska Shootout on Nov. 24. Scored 10 points against Alaska-Anchorage on Nov. 25. Grabbed nine rebounds to go along with seven points at Xavier on Feb. 17.
At Owens Technical College, had two-year averages of 10.8 points and 6.8 rebounds, shooting 57.8% from the field and 60% from the free throw line. Started at center both seasons. Missed half of his sophomore season due to knee surgery, but still earned honorable mention All-Conference honors. Helped lead Owens to a 33-7 overall record and a number one NJCAA national ranking in 1999-2000, and a 30-7 record in 1998-99.
