Had 10 points and six rebounds in NCAA Sweet Sixteen loss to Maryland. As a senior, topped team in rebounding four times. Finished third on team in rebounding (4.4 rpg). Led team in scoring twice — against Notre Dame (17 points) and against Seton Hall in the Big East Tournament (12 points). Averaged 13.7 minutes in 24 contests, yet still finished fourth on team in blocks (26). Missed first semester due to academic ineligibility. In first game back against Maryland-Eastern Shore, played 10 minutes and scored six points with four rebounds.
As a junior in 1999-2000, played in every game after enrolling on December 26, starting 16 times. Averaged 20.3 minutes, 10.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.8 blocks. Had career-high 13 rebounds vs. Pittsburgh and tied a career-high with three assists in the same game. Established career bests in game against West Virginia, blocking six shots with three steals. Had outstanding Big East Tournament, averaging 20 points and scoring career-high 27 points vs. Connecticut in semifinals. Named to Big East All-Tournament Team.
Prior to Georgetown, spent two years at Daytona Beach Community College. Was named Florida Junior College Player of the Year following sophomore campaign when he led the team to the National Junior College Tournament. As a sophomore, averaged 17.9 points, 11.2 rebounds and five blocked shots.
At Daytona Beach CC, named Freshman of the Year in the Mid-Florida Athletic Conference. Averaged 18.0 points, 10.1 rebounds and 4.1 blocks. His blocked shot average topped all Florida junior college players.
Personal: Off the court, learning to golf, likes to fish, hang out with friends and shop. Would like to be a high school coach after basketball career. Advises youngsters to stay focused and work hard.
