BACKGROUND
Participated in NBA training camp with the Utah Jazz in 2003. Played for the New York Knicks in the NBA during the 2000-01, 2001-02 and 2002-03 seasons. In 2002-03, appeared in 12 games, averaging 3.6 points and 0.3 rebounds in 8.2 minutes a contest. In 2001-02, appeared in 23 games, averaging 4.0 points and 0.7 rebounds in 7.8 minutes a contest. In 2000-01, appeared in 26 games, averaging 2.3 points and 1.0 rebounds in 6.5 minutes a contest. Selected by the New York Knicks in the second round (#39 pick overall) of the 2000 NBA Draft.

Finished four-year career as the 15th all-time scoring leader in St. John’s history with 1,413 points. Played in 129 games (starting 104 times), tied for third-best in school history. Career free throw percentage of 78.9 percent ranks eighth all-time. Was the recipient of the Big East Conference Scholar Award as a senior and graduated with a 3.15 GPA in Spanish. Participated in the 2000 Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, averaging 18.7 points and earning All-Consolation Honors. Averaged 9.0 points in the Nike Desert Classic. Played in the Chicago Pre-Draft Camp.

As a senior, averaged 14.3 points and 6.9 rebounds. Started all 33 games. Scored in double figures 28 times and posted three double-doubles. Led team in scoring seven times, including a career-high 26 points against West Virginia. Posted 23 points and seven rebounds at Connecticut. Averaged 16 points and 7.7 rebounds in the Big East Tournament, earning All-Tournament Team honors. Scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds in the title game against Connecticut.

As a junior, averaged 13.1 points and 6.4 rebounds. Started 12 times. Ranked fourth on the team in scoring and second in rebounding. Scored in double figures 27 times. Scored season-high 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds against Connecticut. Tallied 18 points and 15 rebounds against Georgetown. Recorded 19 points and 13 rebounds against Notre Dame. Scored 16 points and snared 10 rebounds against Indiana in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

As a sophomore, averaged 9.9 points and 5.1 rebounds. Started all 32 games. Ranked fourth on the team in both scoring and rebounding while leading the team in free throw shooting. Scored in double figures 13 times, with a season-high 21 points against Notre Dame. Grabbed season-high 11 rebounds against Colgate.

As a freshman, averaged 5.6 points and 3.3 rebounds. Started all 27 games. Led team in steals, ranked second in blocks, and ranked fourth in assists.
