Participated in NBA training camp with the Washington Wizards in 2003. Played with Anwil Wloclawek in the Polish League in 2002-03, averaging 9.6 points and 5.0 rebounds in 21 regular season games. Led team in blocked shots. Helped lead team to the league championship.
Finished collegiate career as the 28th all-time leading scorer in North Carolina history with 1,392 points. Was a four-year starter, one of only nine such players at North Carolina since freshmen became eligible for the 1972-73 season. Participated in the 2002 Portsmouth Invitational Tournament.
As a senior, averaged 14.0 points and 6.0 rebounds. Started 25 of 26 games, missing two contests due to a strained knee ligament. Led team in blocked shots, while ranking second in scoring, rebounding and field goal percentage. Recorded double-figure points in 19 games. Scored career-high 27 points on 11-for-16 shooting against Indiana. Matched career-high with 27 points on 11-for-15 shooting against North Carolina State. Posted a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds against Georgia Tech. Scored 18 points at Kentucky. Tallied 23 points and eight rebounds at Florida State.
As a junior, averaged 11.3 points and 5.7 rebounds. Started 28 of 33 games. Ranked third on the team in rebounding and ranked fourth in scoring. Posted two double-doubles, a 17-point, 10-rebound performance against Miami (FL), and 18 points and 12 rebounds at Georgia Tech. Registered season-high 22 points twice, against Michigan State and against Buffalo. Shot 7-for-8 from the field in scoring 16 points in the ACC Tournament against Clemson. Scored 12 points in the second round of the NCAA Tournament against Penn State.
As a sophomore, averaged 8.4 points and 4.3 rebounds. Started 24 of 35 games. Earned tournament MVP honors at the Food Lion Classic with 15 points against the College of Charleston and 16 points against UNLV. Recorded a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds against Wake Forest. Tallied 11 points and seven rebounds in the NCAA Tournament against Missouri.
As a freshman, averaged 10.6 points and 5.4 rebounds. Started 32 of 34 games. Scored in double figures 18 times, including a season-high 21 points against Georgia in the Pre-season NIT. Matched season-high with 21 points against Florida State. Shot 6-for-9 from the field in scoring 12 points against Duke in the ACC Tournament finals.
