BACKGROUND

Participated in NBA training camp with the Golden State Warriors in 2003. Played for Stade Clermontois in the French Pro B League in 2002-03, averaging 11.8 points and 5.2 rebounds in 29 games. Played for Rasalia de Castro in the Spanish LEB League in 2001-02, averaging 7.9 points and 4.8 rebounds in 18 games.

Finished four-year career fifth on Michigan’s all-time list for blocked shots with 136. Started 76 of 121 games in his career. Scored in double figures 37 times and secured ten or more rebounds 11 times. Had eight career double-doubles.

As a senior, averaged 9.6 points and 6.0 rebounds. Started 22 of 28 games. Scored in double figures 13 times, with a career-high of 26 points against Eastern Michigan on 11-for-12 shooting. Had a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds against Wake Forest. Tallied 18 points, nine rebounds and four blocked shots against Bowling Green. Scored 16 points, grabbed nine rebounds and blocked three shots at Northwestern. Registered 15 points and eight rebounds while shooting 13-for-14 from the free throw line at Ohio State. As a junior, averaged 8.6 points and 5.3 rebounds. Started 24 of 29 games. Led team in blocked shots. Had three double-doubles. Scored season-high 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds at Iowa. Tied season-high with 22 points while grabbing eight rebounds and blocking five shots in the rematch. Scored 19 points on 8-for-9 shooting against Colorado State. Registered 13 points and 10 rebounds against Illinois. Tallied 12 points and seven rebounds in the first round of the NIT at Notre Dame.

As a sophomore, 8.9 points and 5.9 rebounds. Started 30 of 31 games. Led team in scoring three times and in rebounding 12 times. Posted season-high 22 points to go along with 10 rebounds and four blocked shots against Ohio State. Scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for his first career double-double against Indiana. As a freshman, averaged 2.6 points and 2.6 rebounds in 12.0 minutes a contest. Played in all but one game. Scored season-high nine points against Purdue and at Penn State. Grabbed season-high eight rebounds against Duke. Had career-high seven blocked shots against Murray State, tied for the seventh best single-game performance in school history.
