BACKGROUND
Participated in training camp with the Washington Wizards in 2004.
Career Highlights: Finished collegiate career at Bowie State after spending
first three seasons at Virginia Tech. In his only season, helped lead the Bulldogs
to a 30-5 record and a Final Four finish in the NCAA Division II Tournament.
Earned Second Team All-District from the NABC and All-CIAA honors as a senior.
Participated in the 2003 CIAA/NYCAC Senior Basketball Challenge.
Senior (2002-03): Averaged 14.0 points and 7.3 rebounds. Started all
35 games. Ranked second on the team in scoring and rebounding, while leading
the squad in field goal percentage (.658) and blocked shots (ranking fifth in
the conference). Recorded season-high 22 points on 8-for-9 shooting and grabbed
14 rebounds against St. Paul's. Posted 22 points and 12 rebounds at Gannon.
Blocked season-high six shots against Southern Virginia. Scored season-high
24 points and grabbed 13 rebounds against Kennesaw State in the second round
of the NCAA Tournament.
Junior (2001-02): At Virginia Tech, averaged 1.7 points and 1.9 rebounds
in 9.4 minutes a contest. Started twice. Scored season high eight points and
grabbed five rebounds at Boston College. Grabbed five rebounds each against
Mt. St. Mary's, East Carolina, and at Old Dominion.
Sophomore (2000-01): Averaged 3.6 points and 2.8 rebounds in 18.3 minutes
a contest. Started seven times. Registered season-high 12 points at Syracuse.
Tallied 11 points and seven rebounds against Elon. Blocked three shots against
St. John's. Grabbed season-high eight rebounds against William & Mary.
Freshman (1999-00): Averaged 1.9 points and 1.1 rebounds in 7.0 minutes
a contest. Set season highs of eight points and six rebounds against La Salle.
Recorded six points each against Illinois State and Temple.
Personal: Was considered one of the top 250 recruits in the country
as a high school senior.
