BACKGROUND

Played for the Asheville Altitude in the NBDL in 2001-02, averaging 9.4 points and 2.6 rebounds in 46 games. Selected by Asheville in the 1st round (#5 pick overall) of the 2001 NBDL Draft. Spent 2000-01 season with the Grand Rapids Hoops in the CBA, averaging 4.5 points and 1.3 rebounds in 22 games. Participated in training camp with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2000.

Finished collegiate career seventh on Miami’s career scoring list with 1497 points. Was a member of the first senior class to reach the postseason in four straight seasons. Joined former NBA player Tim James as the only players in school history to be named to an all-conference team two straight seasons.

As a senior, averaged 18.2 points and 3.6 rebounds. Led team in scoring 20 times. Scored 20 or more points on 13 occasions. Tallied 23 points against Seton Hall on Jan. 11. Scored game-high 17 points against Notre Dame in the Big East Tournament. Helped lead Miami to a share of the Big East regular season title and an NCAA Tournament berth. Averaged 19.0 points and 3.3 rebounds in three NCAA Tournament games, including 24 points in the Hurricane’s second round upset over Ohio State. Earned Second Team All-Big East honors.

As a junior, averaged 17.8 points and 4.7 rebounds. Started 29 of 30 games. Led the team with 29 double figure scoring games, with 11 games of 20 or more points. Recorded career-high with 35 points against Georgetown on Dec. 30. Converted career-high nine three-point shots against Lafayette on Mar. 12. Was named First Team All-Big East.

As a sophomore, averaged 14.1 points and 4.3 rebounds. Started 18 times. Ranked second on the team in scoring and third in rebounding. Scored in double figures in 20 games. Grabbed a career-high 12 rebounds against Seton Hall on Dec. 31.

As a freshman, averaged 3.5 points and 1.5 rebounds in 12.4 minutes a game. Appeared in 24 games.
