BACKGROUND
College Highlights: Finished collegiate career at Lubbock Christian
University, a NAIA school located in Lubbock, Texas after spending first two
seasons at Baylor. Sat out the 1998-99 season at Baylor as a redshirt. Started
44 of 57 career games at Lubbock Christian.
Senior (2002-03): Averaged 6.6 points and 6.5 rebounds. Started 21 of
31 games. Led team and ranked third in the Sooner Athletic Conference in blocked
shots. Paced team with 14 points and seven rebounds in win over Northwestern
Oklahoma. Grabbed season-high 12 rebounds against Huston-Tillotson. Snared 11
rebounds at Oklahoma Christian and at Wayland Baptist.
Junior (2001-02): Averaged 4.6 points and 4.5 rebounds. Started 23 of
26 games. Led team in blocked shots. Helped Lubbock Christian to a 14-12 overall
record.
Sophomore (2000-01): At Baylor, appeared in only five games mainly due
to a stress fracture in his ankle. Averaged 4.0 points and 2.5 rebounds in limited
minutes.
Freshman (1999-00): Averaged 2.3 points and 2.7 rebounds in 12.0 minutes
a contest. Season total of 35 blocked shots ranked as the tenth best single-season
mark in school history. Posted season-high 11 points on a perfect 5-for-5 shooting
from the field at Jacksonville. Set a Big 12 Tournament single-game record with
eight blocks against Nebraska.
Personal: Aunt and uncle played basketball at Ranger Junior College
in Ranger, Texas. Also played football and golf in high school.
