BACKGROUND

Career Highlights: Earned Honorable Mention All-Big Ten from the coaches and the media as a senior. Named to the NABC All-Star team at the Final Four. Finished collegiate career as the fifth all-time leader in blocked shots at Minnesota with 153. Played in 119 career games (tied for seventh most in school history), starting 44 times. Scored in double figures 24 times. Sat out the 2001-02 season at Minnesota as a redshirt. Started his career at Minnesota as a walk-on freshman before being awarded a scholarship prior to his sophomore season.

Senior (2004-05): Averaged 11.2 points, 6.2 rebounds (tenth in the Big Ten), and 2.5 blocked shots (second). Started 30 of 32 games. Scored in double figures 19 times, with a career-high 21 points vs. Central Michigan. Posted 20 points on 8-for-11 shooting vs. Chicago State. Recorded a 15-point, 12-rebound double-double at Iowa, and registered 14 points, a career-high 17 rebounds, and four blocked shots in the rematch. Tallied 20 points and 15 rebounds at Indiana. Scored 12 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and dished out five assists vs. Alabama in the Great Alaska Shootout. Tied a career high with seven blocks vs. Ohio State. Registered ten points and seven rebounds in the first round of the NCAA Tournament vs. Iowa State.

Junior (2003-04): Averaged 4.3 points and 3.6 rebounds in 16.0 minutes a contest. Ranked seventh in the Big Ten in blocked shots (1.14 bpg). Started 11 of 28 games. Scored in double figures twice. Matched season high with 12 points vs. Michigan. Set season highs with nine rebounds and three blocked shots vs. Oral Roberts. Led team with seven points and two blocks vs. Fairleigh Dickinson.

Freshman (2000-01): Averaged 1.9 points and 1.2 rebounds in 7.5 minutes a contest. Started twice. Scored a season-high 11 points in his collegiate debut vs. UNC-Greensboro. Grabbed a season-high four rebounds in his first career start. Blocked a season-high three shots at Iowa and vs. Penn State.
