BACKGROUND

Participated in training camp with the Sacramento Kings in 2002.

Played for Kahraba in Lebanon in 2001-02. Last attended Loyola Marymount in the fall of 2001, where he did not play basketball but competed as a member of the school crew team. Started collegiate career at St. Catherine’s JC in Kentucky in 1998-99, played one season at Loyola Marymount in 1999-00 before transferring to North Dakota, where he briefly played in 2000-01 before transferring back to LMU. Is also commonly known as “J.P.”.

As a junior at North Dakota, averaged 1.7 points and 1.0 rebounds in six games before leaving the team. Grabbed three rebounds and scored two points at Minnesota-Crookston on Nov. 25.

As a sophomore at Loyola Marymount, averaged 1.2 points and 1.3 rebounds. Appeared in 26 games, starting four times. Had the most success in LMU’s two games against Gonzaga, scoring season-high six points and grabbed four rebounds at home on Feb. 11, and scoring four points and grabbing a season-high seven rebounds on the road on Feb. 5. Scored five points at Portland on Feb. 3.

Personal: Competed on the Loyola Marymount Crew team as a senior in 2001-02. Appeared in one event, rowing at Starboard in the Men’s Varsity Open 8 competition at the Head of the Marina in Marina Del Rey, CA on Nov. 3.
