BACKGROUND

Spent the 2002-03 season with Golbey-Epinal in the French Pro B League, averaging 9.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 15 games. Played the 2001-02 season with Le Havre in France in the Pro A League, averaging 13.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 5.6 assists in five games before getting injured. Selected by the Asheville Altitude in the 10th round (#77 pick overall) of the 2001 NBDL Draft. Spent the 2000-01 season in Turkey with Galatasaray Istanbul, averaging 12.9 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 11 games. Selected by the Indiana Pacers in the 2nd round (#56 pick overall) of 2000 NBA Draft.

Played final two seasons of collegiate career at Colorado, after playing his first two seasons at Compton Community College in California. Participated in the 2000 Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, averaging 11.0 points and 7.0 assists. Had a 2.1 assist-to-turnover ratio during the camp.

As a senior, averaged 17.0 points, 3.2 rebounds and 4.5 assists. Led team in scoring, field goal percentage, three-point shooting percentage, free throw percentage and assists. Set an NCAA record with 15 points in overtime en route to a career-high 42 points against Iowa State. Recorded 28 points against Oklahoma. Named First Team All-Big 12 by the coaches and Second Team All-Conference by the media. Earned USBWA All-District 8 honors.

As a junior, averaged 11.7 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists. Averaged 15.8 points over the final 13 games of the season. Posted 34 points including 18-for-20 free throw shooting against Oklahoma State. Scored 32 points against Kansas State. Tallied 28 points and eight assists against Oklahoma. Named Honorable Mention All-Big 12 and made the conference’s All-Newcomer team.

As a sophomore at Compton CC, averaged 14.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 5.2 assists. Led team in assists and steals and ranked third in scoring. Led team to a 24-3 overall record and a state championship.

As a freshman, averaged 11.7 points, 1.5 rebounds and 6.7 assists. Shot 59.9 percent from the field and 41.0 percent from three-point range.
